How to Use the Peptide Dosage Calculator
This application provides accurate peptide dosage and unit calculations for research protocols, with scheduling tools, administration history logging, and real-time vial usage indicators.
Creating a Calculation
- Go to the Calculator tab
- Click the "+ Add New Calculation" button
- Fill in the required fields:
- Subject Name: Name or identifier
- Type of Peptide: Which peptide is being used
- MG's Per Vial: Total milligrams in the vial
- Units of Liquid: Amount of liquid added (in units)
- Daily Dose MG's: Target daily dose in milligrams
- Days Per Week: How many days per week to administer
- Dose Time: Select AM or PM for when the dose is administered
- Select which days of the week to administer doses
- Optionally set a Stand By period (dates when administration is paused)
- Click "Save" - the calculation will be automatically locked
Logging Daily Doses
- On dose days, cards will glow with a purple ring
- The dose time badge (โ๏ธ AM or ๐ PM) is displayed on the collapsed card so you can see at a glance when the dose should be taken
- Click "Log Today" button on the collapsed card
- Or expand the card and use the "Log Today" button in the Dose Tracking section
- Once logged, the button will show a checkmark and turn green
- Each dose is automatically timestamped and saved to history
- You can delete logged doses by expanding the card and clicking the X next to a dose entry
Day Status Indicators
On collapsed cards, scheduled days show color-coded status:
- Green: Dose logged for this day this week
- Red: Scheduled day was missed (past day without a log)
- Blue Ring: Today's scheduled dose day
- Gray: Future scheduled day (not yet due)
Note: The week starts on Monday at 12:00 AM. Days reset each week.
Cycle Period
- Set an on-cycle and off-cycle schedule that repeats indefinitely
- Enter a Cycle Start Date, On-Cycle Weeks, and Off-Cycle Weeks in the calculation
- During an off-cycle period, cards show a gray "Off Cycle ยท back MMM d" badge
- If the cycle start date is in the future, the card shows "Cycle starts MMM d" and behaves as off-cycle until then
- Dose logging and the purple glow are disabled during off-cycle periods
- The expanded card shows a status banner with exact dates for the next phase change
- Leave the cycle fields empty if you don't need cycle management
Stand By / Pause
- Use Stand By to pause administration for any period of inactivity
- You can set specific start and end dates, or use the quick Pause button to pause indefinitely
- The Pause button (top-right of the Stand By section) instantly pauses with no end date required
- Tap Resume to clear the pause and re-enable dose logging
- During stand by, cards show an orange "Stand By" badge
- No purple glow or "Log Today" button appears during stand by
- Days during stand by won't show as missed
Logging Missed Doses
- Forgot to log a dose? Expand any calculation card and go to the Dose Tracking section
- Tap the Missed Day button to open a date picker
- Select the date the dose was taken, then tap Log
- The missed dose is saved with the correct units for that date's formula
- Missed doses are stored in history exactly like regular logged doses
Profiles
- Profiles let you organize calculations by person, patient group, or research project
- Switch profiles using the tabs at the top of the Calculator page
- Tap + Add Profile to create a new profile
- Each profile has its own independent set of calculations
- Delete a profile using the trash icon on its tab โ this removes all calculations within it
Paused / Inactive Cards
- Calculations that are currently paused, off-cycle, or not yet started are automatically moved out of the main list
- They appear in a collapsed "Paused / Inactive" section at the bottom of the Calculator page
- Tap that section header to expand and view all inactive calculations
- This keeps your active dose cards front and center without clutter
- Cards return to the active list automatically when they become due again
Locking & Unlocking
- New calculations are automatically locked after first save
- Locked calculations prevent accidental changes to input fields
- You can still log doses when locked
- Locked cards show a lock icon in the header
- Click the lock icon to unlock and edit the calculation
- Click again to lock it back
Collapsible Card Sections
When you expand a calculation card, the content is organized into collapsible sections to keep things tidy:
- Input Fields โ Subject name, peptide type, vial MG's, liquid amount, daily dose, days per week, and dose time. Shows a summary when collapsed.
- Cycle Period โ On/off cycle schedule settings. Shows current cycle status when collapsed.
- Stand By Period โ Pause settings with quick Pause/Resume buttons. Shows active stand by status when collapsed.
- Calculated Results โ Daily units, vial depletion tracker, and all weekly/monthly figures. Shows the daily dose summary when collapsed.
- Vial History โ Log of all vials started, with dose counts and MG totals per vial. Only visible when vials have been logged.
- Dose Tracking โ Full dose log grouped by week, with Log Today and Missed Day buttons. Shows total doses and today's status when collapsed.
- All sections start collapsed by default โ tap any section header to expand it
Reordering Calculations
- On the Calculator page, you can drag and drop collapsed cards to reorder them
- Click and hold on any collapsed calculation card
- Drag it to your preferred position
- Release to drop it in the new location
- This helps you prioritize subjects or organize by importance
Viewing Dose History
- Go to the "History" tab at the bottom
- View all logged doses across all subjects and peptides
- Doses are organized by week (Monday-Sunday) in collapsible sections
- The current week glows green and shows totals for both ML Units and MG's
- Each week shows: patient name, date taken, ML Units, and MG's
- Click any week to expand and see individual dose details
- By default, only the current and previous week are shown โ tap "Show older weeks" to see more
- Individual calculation cards also show their dose history in the same weekly format
- Historical dose entries are immutable โ changing your dose formula (titrating up/down) will not retroactively alter logged entries
Exporting Dose History to PDF
- Go to the "History" tab
- Tap the PDF button in the top-right of any peptide card
- All weeks will appear with checkboxes โ tap each week you want to include
- Selected weeks highlight in indigo
- Tap Export (n) to download a formatted PDF of your selected weeks
- Tap Cancel to exit without exporting
- The PDF includes dates, units, MG's, and totals per week
Vial Tracking
- The app tracks how much of your current vial has been used based on logged doses
- A progress bar shows how depleted the vial is, color-coded by urgency
- A badge on collapsed cards shows days remaining:
- Green โ plenty of vial remaining
- Amber โ 14 days or fewer remaining
- Red โ 7 days or fewer, order soon
- When you open a new vial, tap the New Vial button (flask icon) on the collapsed card or inside the expanded card
- Confirm the dialog to log the new vial โ this resets the usage tracker
- Vial history is stored and visible when you expand the card, showing start date and doses used per vial
- You can delete individual vial history entries using the X button next to each vial

- Use the floating Feedback button to submit suggestions, report bugs, or provide general feedback
- Use the floating Rating button to give the app a 1-5 star rating
- Both buttons are positioned at the top of the screen for easy access
- You can add optional comments with your rating to explain your thoughts
- Your feedback helps improve the calculator for all users
- Admin responses to your feedback will be recorded in the system
Settings & Account
